Dog Walking and Pet Care has been a hobby of mine for many years. I have always been an avid dog walker; whilst still at school I had my own round of dogs that I walked. I joined the Army at 18 and having served for 22 years, I am part of A & P Pet Solutions and gone back to what I like to do the best. During my military service I have come into contact with many dogs; in the military dogs are a big part of service life and they are always in work, out on runs or making a huge difference in their professional capacity as search dogs. It is stress relieving to have a dog around a work environment and to make a general fuss of them. Ensuring dogs have been exercised and enjoyed their walk is the foundations of a happy and contented pet. I have experience of many different breeds of dog and have been a dog owner for most of my life, my two Miniature Schnauzer’s, Alex and Sherry, 7, are always out walking, running, getting into mischief and generally enjoying themselves.
I have a lifetime of experience in owning and looking after dogs, and one of my first jobs from leaving school was dog walking in my local area. I decided to pursue other avenues as a career and I have spent the last 20 years working in the retail environment as a business manager. However, after much soul searching I have decided that working with animals is more than a passionate hobby for me; it’s a way of life. I have always been drawn back to this line of work and over the years I have helped foster puppies and kittens with local pet charities. This involves taking very young animals into your own home until more permanent homes can be found for them; I have found this experience to be extremely fulfilling. As well as been really enthusiastic about animals we are committed to excellent customer service and getting things right for you, the dog owner. I know just what you’re looking for – peace of mind. Pet owners will agree that a pet is part our families and they deserve the best care there is when you, the owner, are not around. I am qualified through Reed.co.uk in canine first aid, pet sitting, dog walking and I am currently studying a pet grooming course.
